BAGGASE

BAGGASE

Bagasse is the fibrous residue left over after milling of the Cane, with 45-50% moisture content and high hygroscopic property. Generated as a by-product in sugar manufacture process, Bagasse can be used profitably in two ways - for the manufacture of pulp / paper products & building materials and for the generation of electricity. It is also emerging as an attractive feedstock for bioethanol production and is also utilized as feedstock for cattle.

Cogeneration from Bagasse offers renewable energy options that spur sustainable development, utilize domestic resources, multiply profitability and competitiveness in the industry, and cost-effectively address climate mitigation and other environmental goals.
