SUGARCANE MILLING
Sugarcane is a prime cash crop all over the world. Besides sugar production, sugarcane produces numerous valuable byproducts like molasses which is used to manufacture ethanol, bagasse which is used for power generation, paper, chip board manufacturing and press mud used as a rich source of organic matter and nutrients for crop production. Pakistan has amongst the largest cane growing acreages in the world and the harvesting season starts in November and runs through April of the following year.
The Group’s operational units are ideally located in Central Pakistan, which is climatically well suited for sugarcane production. This region has amongst the largest sugarcane crops (and superior yields per acre) in the Country; thus sugarcane is abundantly available for the production of sugar and allied fuel stock of bagasse. The Group maintains strong / direct relationships with cane farmers to ensure adequate cane availability and uninterrupted supply.
